Student handbooks are prepared for the information and guidance of parents and students. From student handbooks, parents and students will better understand the objectives of the DeWitt School District.
DeWitt Schools are dedicated to the purpose of training minds and building skills that will be useful and required now and in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to have certain rules to ensure each individual the opportunity to benefit from the program. The student handbook outlines the basic policies around which your school functions.
Parents and students are asked to read the handbook and then sign and date the form included, indicating that the handbook has been read. At the beginning of each school year these signed forms are requested to be returned to the student's teacher. All parents/guardians and students are required to do so to complete the student's registration.
As citizens of DeWitt Schools, students are expected to follow the rules that are established for the welfare of the entire student body. Following the rules will help all students. Students will be proud of their school and take care of it. Students will learn necessary and useful skills for the future.
Please feel free to confer with teachers and the administration when needed. The cooperation of school patrons, based upon knowledge of school policies and procedures, will result in a more efficient and successful school program. |
