Black History month - Feb 3 - John Singleton was the first black film director nominated for an academy award for a box office hit (Boyz in the Hood).

Spanish Club field trip permission slips are due TODAY.

EAST Lab is sponsoring a canned food drive through TODAY. All donations will be going to the Sharing and Caring Food Pantry on the square. See your English teacher for more information and details concerning competition rules and regulations. There will be a prize for the winning class who donates the most nonperishable food, but you must donate to win the prize.

ACT Prep at PCC - Reading & English - Monday, Feb 6 - 5:00-8:00 - $30; Math & Science Tuesday, Feb 7 - 5:00-8:00 - $30.

Chess Club members: Regional chess tournament is Saturday, Feb 18. Sign up on Mr. Kennedy's door by Monday, Feb 6.

SENIORS: Jacob Coleman Memorial scholarship applicationis are available from Mrs. Patterson starting TODAY. All sports and boys and girls are included for applicants for this scholarship.

SENIORS: New scholarship application is available in the counselor's office for students attending Arkansas colleges.
SENIORS: See the counselor about a scholarship if you are planning to go into engineering or architecture.

JUNIORS: Please turn in your $15 dues to Ms. Jackson by Feb 16. Put your money in an envelope with your name on it.

Students grades 9, 10, & 11: If you are planning to go into an engineering field, see Mrs. Purdy about a week-long engineering scholars program at UALR this summer.
