Basketball Season Begins
It's round ball time! The 2010-11 DeWitt Dragons and Dragonettes basketball season has begun. Come on out and support our teams.

 You just can't beat the student section at Dragon and Dragonette home basketball games! Join the "Krazies" this Friday night, November 19, and show your spirit. Wear a black shirt -- add blue K-R-A-Z-I-E-S to it, if you want -- and cheer our teams on to victory!

Baseball Fundraiser
The 2011 Baseball Team is selling T-shirts as a fundraiser for the upcoming season. The shirts only cost $12. Order by Friday, November 19. Adult sizes only. Thanks for your support of Dragon Baseball!

Travel Destination Class Trip
Students in the DHS Distance Learning Travel Destination class began with a class project of planning a trip somewhere in Arkansas. The project was worth 200 points. The students voted on which trip to take and the most votes went to the zoo trip. Schools attending were DeWitt, Lake Hamilton, Gurdon, and Junction City. The group toured the zoo and then treated themselves to lunch at the Olive Garden. |

Veterans Day
Mrs. Dana Horton's class celebrated Veterans Day with a special visit from Mrs. Horton's dad, Louis DuMond, U.S. Navy veteran.

Special Olympics Bowling
Students from Mrs. Emerson's and Mrs. Horton's Transition Labs at DMS and DHS participated in the Special Olympics

Community Service Month At GES
Mrs. Kathy Trites is encouraging Gillett Elementary students to get involved and give something back to their community in her guidance classes for the month of November. |

Great River Promise
Arkansas County high school graduates are eligible for the Great River Promise, a commitment from the Phillips Community College Foundation that students who meet the stated criteria will be eligible to have their college tuition and mandatory fees paid.

DES Watch D.O.G.S.
Over 200 Dads signed up to be Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers on September 28, at DES.
